Hmmmm. Wh...Mary, oh boy, have you ever hit a nerve. Hmmmm. What to do? I feel like we're stuck. You're right, that as writers, we have no choice. You're also right that it's harder to set limits than what it might seem. I'm already struggling this summer with my oldest child, who is stuck on his X-box, which had been removed as a privilege for the better half of the school year. Now that it's back, I'm wondering why we allowed it again. He's struggled with organization problems, and I'm just wondering if his brain isn't being hampered. This is some food for thought for me. I mean, I've always been concerned but this just sort of brought it to the fore. Thanks for reminding me that technology has definite limitations and that we need to be vigilant. Oh, and I LOVE your ideas about tech-free vacations and Sundays. Not sure I can make the Sundays thing happen. Hubby would have a hard time getting off TV and I usually post Sunday night. But...it's something to consider for sure. Have a blessed week!Roxane B. Salonenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01459456545891720716noreply@blogger.com
